Ruben & Gunnhild
Gunnhild and Ruben (both from Norway) are Lindy Hop – and Boogie Woogie – dancers located in Bergen. Today Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie, and Solo jazz play a big role in their lives. Teaching and practicing in Bergen in addition to traveling to various international festivals for competitions and taking classes take up much of their time.
They both have a strong passion for teaching, performing, competing, and especially social dancing - where the goal during the social night is to avoid leaving the floor for as long as humanly possible. To Gunnhild and Ruben, the multifaceted activity of swing dancing involves so many treasured elements - from the music itself to the possibilities of expressing yourself to it. And to be able to share these elements with another human being on the social floor makes it all so very special.

Sondre & Tanya
This year we will be joined by the incredible Sondre (Norway) & Tanya (Ukraine)! World champions in Boogie Woogie, this pair have been competing, teaching, and performing together since 2015. Both of their dance stories start much earlier however, with both Sondre and Tanya starting dancing when they were kids.
Passionate about sharing their love for swing dancing, Sondre & Tanya are not only world-class professional dancers but also just incredible people; bringing skill, energy, and lots of excitement to all of their classes!

Maksym & Hanna
Before starting Boogie Woogie in early 2010s Hanna already had experience with folk dances from her childhood, and Maksym was doing various sports.
From 2017 the Ukranian pair started dancing and performing together after a spontaneous competition in the Let’s Dance camp. Since then they’ve been actively competing in WRRC competitions, focussing on lead/follow and changes in dynamics and musicality. Social dancing for them is most important and they believe it’s a precious part of the Swing dance community. Strongly passionate about the mood within the music, they experiment with body feeling and different approaches to better connect with the music. Absolutely full of energy, these two are always ready to share all the joy and knowledge they’ve accumulated and developed throughout their years of dancing and we can’t wait to have them at Swing Brother Swing this year!
